I am a Food Freedom and Body Confidence Coach, Social Worker, Founder of the W.I.S.E.R Woman Sisterhood, author and facilitator of Self Love for the WISER Woman Intensive program.
My story with food and body dissatisfaction began when I was little and at 10 I started my first official diet. I thought that if I lost weight I would feel normal, fit in with my friends, and be able to wear a bathing suit without feeling like I wanted to hide.
This began decades of dieting, food obsession, emotional eating, bingeing, all of which would become my biggest challenge in life. I bounced from diet to diet, counted points, calories, macros, and did everything I could to shrink my body.
When a tragedy struck our family I took the opportunity to re-evaluate my life. I felt tired of feeling out of control with food and didn't want to go around in circles anymore. I was exhausted from falling off the diet roller coaster, from spending too much time and energy on all that was wrong with me and my body.
I wanted a peaceful relationship with food and my body. I wanted to feel "enough" no matter what my size, shape or weight was.
So, I stopped dieting and ditched diet culture. What was my greatest challenge in life became my biggest accomplishment.
With my new found freedom, I decided that I would help other women find the freedom they were looking for through dieting. I love helping women create their own peaceful relationship with food and their bodies with a mix of coaching, counselling, healing modalities, mindfulness, and years of experience working with women.
Working together you'll learn to re-connect with you inner wisdom, stop those nasty gremlin thoughts and beliefs that have kept you stuck for years and transform your relationship with food and your body.
